Middle Kuskokwim Languages Toddler Tee – Fireweed/Ciilqaaq/Tthediłtl’uxgi
Fireweed is a plant of great significance to the people in the Middle Kuskokwim region and across Alaska, often used for both food and medicine. Its bright magenta blooms are one of the first signs of renewal after a fire or disturbance, making it a powerful symbol of healing, survival, and the strength of the land. This unisex t-shirt features an illustration of the fireweed flower along with two Native words, both translate to “fireweed.”
– Ciilqaaq (Yup’ik)
– Tthediłtl’uxgi (Deg Xiang)
This shirt is more than just clothing. It is one of the ways we work to preserve language, honor the Middle Kuskokwim cultural, and provide community support for students from the Middle Kuskokwim region of Alaska. All proceeds benefit The Kuskokwim Corporation’s Shareholder students. We hope you wear it with pride!
