Middle Kuskokwim Languages Youth Tee – Chickadee/Cekpiipiiq/Sigiggeq

$25.00

Across the forests and riverbanks of the Middle Kuskokwim, chickadees are a familiar sight throughout the year. Their small size and lively calls bring a little brightness to the quiet of winter and the changing seasons. For people who spend time on the land, these familiar birds are part of the landscape we know, notice, and share with one another.

This unisex t-shirt features an illustration of a chickadee along with two Native words for the bird:

Cekpiipiiq – Yup’ik word
Sigiggeq – Deg Xinag word

This shirt is more than just clothing. It is one of the ways we work to preserve language, honor the Middle Kuskokwim culture and community, and support students from the Middle Kuskokwim region of Alaska. All proceeds benefit The Kuskokwim Corporation’s Shareholder students. We hope you wear it with pride!
